“Growth and comfort do not coexist.”
George Couros said it well and this is the motto for 2026. We played it safe last year due to some trepidation following the prior year’s financial struggles, but we enter 2026 with bold plans and the expectation that it will be an uncomfortable year of big growth and a lot of changes.
Some of our upcoming plans:
Expansion of the goat pens and separate digs for the bucks
Roof on the equine area and stalls for the animals
Add Milking Parlor and Feed Rooms
Complete Remodel of the Guest House and Addition of a Tiny House to the property
Refinish Pipe Fencing Around Residential Property
THREE rounds of Summer Camp
Garden Rejuvenation - new irrigation and shade
Expand the chicken digs by adding a new coop and doubling nesting boxes.
Horses!! We are aiming to be a horse property by the end of the year.
It is no joke - we are going to kill it this year.
I started this list in January and by mid February we already set 25 posts in concrete for the new pens, welded corners, hung a gate, repaired some fencing, amended the garden beds with all new soil, built a goat shed, put in new water line for the donkeys and dad made three new stanchions for the milking parlor.
